To roast or not to roast?
The British love affair with the traditional Sunday Roast is long
standing – it’s believed to have been ongoing since the 15th century! At
Lion, we’ve decided to celebrate all things roast dinner and delve
deeper into what makes a great Sunday roast. After surveying 300 diners, we found out exactly what the nation rates on their
roasts.
According to our survey results, over a third of diners (39%) have a
roast monthly, while those having them weekly (23%) and every six months
(23%) coming up next. Chicken reigns victorious as the most popular
choice of meat overall (29%), it was closely followed by beef (27%). Our
surveyed diners also went for the veggie option – with 3% of diners
enjoying a nut roast best of all.
